Purpose of the Job:

Aviation Asset Management (“AAM”) is building a high quality organization to efficiently manage and optimize investment returns on its owned and managed asset portfolios. Reporting to the Head of Aviation Finance, the successful candidate will be a key member of the team responsible for a broad range of fund-raising activities and treasury functions covering fund raise originations, interest rate hedging and treasury operations to support the build-up of the aircraft and aircraft engine portfolio that the company will own and manage. This will also be a business-oriented role, supporting the origination of new equity investor partnerships and deepening existing ones.

Key Job Accountabilities:

Fund-Raising

• Support origination from the corporate lending market, secured financing markets and debt capital markets (such as asset-backed securitizations etc)
• Preparing and reviewing financial model together with business team to secure funding
• Seek most optimal financing terms and structure through effective interactions with financiers
• Support the execution of financing transactions, review of financing solutions/loan documentation and supporting loan administration, in collaboration with legal counsel and advisors

Treasury Management

• Monitor exposure, formulate and time appropriate actions to hedge interest rate risk exposure
• Monitor and project cash flow inflows and ouflows to minimize cost of funding and maximize return on cash
• Bank loan management including rollovers, drawdown and loan compliance
• Involvement in internal reporting and analysis, including funding and liquidity planning, hedging analysis, budget management etc

Equity Capital Market

• Investment activities for existing investor partnerships and vehicles
• Support document preparation and completion for all investment activities, in collaboration with legal counsel and advisors
• Prepare investment committee memorandums, in collaboration with business teams, to relevant management bodies for approval of investments
• Ongoing development and management of client relationships and indirect marketing efforts
• Assist capital raising efforts including preparation of marketing material, addressing due diligence questions, organizing meetings and road shows, supporting negotiations
• Research, target, develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential capital partners

Requirements

• Degree in Finance/ Economics/ Banking/ Accountancy/ Business Administration or similar specialization
• Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience (for eg. REIT / fund managers / banks / financial advisory firms / corporate finance / fund raising / investments)
• Structured Finance / Investment management experience a plus
• Familiar with loan / ISDA documentation
• Strong quantitative, analytical and financial modelling skills
• Practiced and proven communication and presentation skills
• Strong team player but also able to work independently; Commitment to deliver high quality work
