Job Description

• Writing functional or technical specifications
• Development of banking solutions using X-Gen scripting and parameterisation
• Development of customer specific functionalities (such as interfaces)
• Perform unit and system integration testing; assist users on user acceptance testing
• Resolve defects and follow through on resolution and deployment
• Conduct system training
• Provide deployment support
• Provide 2nd level technical and functional support on existing solutions
• Improving existing solutions by identifying and developing enhancements, both from a performance and manageability perspective
• Evaluate client change requests for functional enhancements
• Build and implement small changes

Requirements:

• 5+ years programming / software development experience working in technology projects
• Development of complex web-based applications (backend and frontend) using programming languages such as C++, Java and/or Java Script or comparable languages
• Working with graphical middleware-platforms
• Experience with database applications (SQL, database tuning)
• Knowledge of Linux (developer tools, shell, compiler, …)/ Windows / VMs
• Experience with Java script/XML/SQL
• Knowledge of communication protocols and APIs (such as http/REST, MQ Series, JMS)
• Basic client facing soft skills: Business writing, Communication, Professionalism, Presentation, Teamwork, Pro-active, Leadership
• Basic written and spoken English
• Banking domain experience is an advantage
• Experience with multi-cultural teams is an advantage
• Experience with the web development environment Sencha ExtJS is an advantage
• Knowledge of SWIFT and/or ISO20022 (e.g., MT502 messages) standards is an advantage
