Senior Application Support who specialized in supporting Equities Trading Platform for a local banking project.
Responsible for stability of production environments ensuring all applications and interfaces have maximum availability;
Collaborate closely with other internal/external technical teams/business users and vendors in investigating, testing and implementing fixes or enhancements;
Identifying, troubleshooting and responding to emergency situations impacting live trading. (i.e. Exchange outage, FIX routing issue,
Connectivity issue, System outage)
Follow escalation procedures during outages;
Track incidents and provide regular updates to users on request status and progress;
Act as a facilitator and coordinate between various teams like Infrastructure, 2nd/3rd line, IT Service, vendor to resolve complex issues and implement enhancement;
Perform Trend analysis, Incidents resolutions, Root Cause Analysis and Regular Reporting to identify areas for review for improvement;
Ensure all new deployments have correct documentation and training;
Write SQL and suggest automation to improve efficiency/effectiveness of support team;
Adhere to change management requirements for application and system implementations.
Support Sustained Resiliency, Disaster Recovery, and High Availability events.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles and environments
Good knowledge of Equities products, order and trade flow, settlement flow, and online/offline trading platforms would be beneficial.
Experience with SQL and FIX Protocol (certification / onboarding) will be an advantage.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to deal with users and vendors
Ability to work well within a team and under pressure
High sense of ownership of task assigned, deliver work with high quality and efficiency
Must be able to work in a fast pace environment and preferably with experience in Agile methodologies.
