Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible to lead the teams of production operators and technicians to meet daily production targets, schedule and quality standard.
Plan workflow on the production teams and achieve the production target.
Draw up duty roster for operators and technicians; allocating work and plan & authorize the overtime accordingly.
Work closely with production planner to meet the on time shipments schedule.
Work with various departments / engineering group in cross functional efforts to resolve the production related issues.
Compilation and monitor the monthly production OEE and wastage report.
Analyses and determine the production losses & high wastage causes, and ensure that the necessary corrective / preventive action is taken when necessary.
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process and quality system.
Ensure the effective communication between shifts.
Ensure the safety standard and GMP practices is followed strictly.
Motivate and guide the operators and technicians, maintain discipline and manage their performance appraisals.
Responsible for safety, department housekeeping & security management of the production floor.
Ensures that all accident cases in his department are investigated and recorded. Provide the investigated accident report to Safety committee.
Identify the training programs for new technician, so that they are affectively utilized and developed.
Competency / Job Requirements:
Possess at least a Diploma, Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 5 year relevant working experience in similar capacity
Good exposures in Manufacturing Processes and Handling Working Team
Must be able to analyse and use data to continuously improve processes
Must understand current manufacturing methods and best practices
